Pattern Errata : Kids Scrub Hat

Hello,

Thanks to Lalitha that I got to know I attached the wrong templates for the Kid's size of the Banded Scrub Hat. I usually make the templates in separate files for editing then will copy them to the pattern file.
I already posted a correction in the Pattern Errata Page and also updated the file in the Shops (Etsy, Payhip, and Webshop). If you purchased the pattern before 13th May 2020, please email me with your order number, I will email you the updated version. Thank you!

Lalitha already cut several pieces, so I thought I'll make a tutorial here in case you already cut the fabrics too.

Here's how:

1. Cut a strip of fabric measuring 2.5" W x 7" H

2. With the right side together, sew the strip to the straight side of panel A using 1/4" seam allowance.

3. Open it and topstitch using 1/8" seam allowance

4. Trim the edges by lining up the rules as shown in the picture below.

5. Now trim the panel A to measure 9". Measure in the middle from the centre top to bottom.

6. Fold the panel B and trim it by 0.5". You can line it on the cutting mat and cut at 10.5" mark.

7. Depends on how stretchy your fabric is (I used poplin here which is quite stretchy), you may end up with excess. Don't worry, you can just trim it and it won't affect the end result.

8. Follow the rest of the pattern. Honestly, I kinda like this little contrast tab at the bottom :D.

I use the same color for the band and I kinda like this look :)

I apologize for the inconvenience. If you still have any doubt or need further assistance, you can always email me.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

Take care & stay safe ❤️

How to sew easy scrub hat - video tutorial

Finally I have time to make (and edit) video tutorial for the Scrub Hat Pattern I posted few days ago. I hope this supported video will help for those who just started sewing. It is super easy and quick!

I hope you find this supporting video tutorial useful. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me, I'd be glad to help you.

If you enjoy the video and want more tutorial /video tutorial, please subscribe to my channel.

I'm adding the Face Shield Free Pattern  with the Scrub Hat pattern on Etsy. So those of you who support me from Etsy will not have to download it separately.
By the way, you can use coupon code FAVE20 on ETSY  to get instant discount of 20%. yay!

In the meantime, I've been busy tidying up my fabric stocks (since we're on lockdown and I cannot send physical products). I sorted them out by color and also by size. I still have a long way to go though. At least this will keep me busy, as I heard on the news few districts will have lockdown extension. Let's hope for the best!

I read on the news today that several countries will start easing lockdown and let people go back to work and they have to wear their own protective gear. Please do take care if you're one of those who has to go back to work and use public transport! I pray that God will always protect all of us and help the scientist to come up with vaccine soon!

Thank you for stopping by,
Take care & stay well!

Elvira
