Small Handmade Gifts

Hello October!

In the past few weeks we have so much of rain which make the weather very pleasant! I took this Slow Motion video yesterday just for fun!

The last two weeks I was busy with custom orders, Alhamdulillah. Also busy working on my Etsy Shops. Etsy is changing it's advertising policy and now the Etsy Promoted Ads and Google Ads are merged. This makes many sellers very disappointed, because suddenly our visits and views dropped drastically since August. Even my stores! With the new system, we don't have any control over the CPC and our daily budget is quickly spent! For bigger shops maybe they are not much affected but for smaller shops like mine, this changing really affect us.

I'm still working on my Etsy shops to adjust with the new changes! and it takes up a LOT of time!! Meanwhile, here's a few things I finished.

I finished this Pink Floral Double Zip Pouch last week. I decided to go with grey polkadots as an accent fabric. Well, if nothing works, go for polkadots! :D

Nowadays I love using metal zipper, since I learned how to sew with metal zipper without breaking your needle! It looks good also. I ordered more yardage for metal zips and still waiting. I hope I will get it after the Durga Puja Holiday.

I also made these cute pocket tissue holders. They make a great gift, right? I am using my Indian fabric scraps and simply love how they turned out. These tissue holders are available in my Etsy Shop as well as on my Webshop

I also made these cute  Tissue holder  and Mini Zipper Tissue Pouch

That's all for today. I still have a few orders to finish this week and also huge homework of working on my Etsy SEO. With Etsy changing, I think it's time for me to revise my prices on Etsy too. However you can also check out my WEBSHOP too. I ship internationally from my webshop too!

I will list few links below in case you need.

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a nice day!

Mini Make-up Pouch Bag

I made this mini make up pouch cum sling bag for Jasmine. My friend's daughter who recently had her 5th birthday party. Too bad I could not go to her party because hubby had to work late that day and I don't drive (anymore).

I filled up the pouch with nail polish and lip glosses. I simply love watching her doing her girly stuff.

Finally I gave her the bag on Sunday and she was thrilled. She wouldn't let anybody to touch her bag:D

Yes, I believe handmade gift is always the best!

On second note, I've been using Snapseed for editing my photos and I've been trying to write blog from my iPad but could not write /edit properly. For example, the page won't scroll down after the second photos are uploaded. Sometimes there are so many things I want to write and I am too busy or tired to sit and write on my laptop. What I do nowadays is I click the photos with my camera, transfer them to iPad and upload to my blog as a draft post and edit it when I have time.

Bt the way, I am using blogger here. What about you? Do you blog from iPad/Mobile? How do you go about it?
Please let me know in the comment if you have any tips for blogging from mobile/iPad, I'd really love to hear about it.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a nice day!

Backpack and Pencil Pouches

When you have nephew who goes to play school, it is mandatory to make him a backpack! Naah...actually this backpack is high on my to do list.

The pattern is from one of my Japanese book and even though I cannot read Kanji or even hiragana katakana, but somehow I can follow the illustrations. There is one front pocket that close with snap button and I added one zipper pocket inside.

The backpack is quite spacious to carry the essential stuff like  toys, a book, small water bottle and maybe a pair of change clothes.

And of course I have to make a matching pencil case for him. I made 2 cases and one is for my other nephew. He loves Japanese manga and her mom told me to make anything with Japan on it.

So I make one with Shinkasen print fabric. I hope he will like it. The pencil pouch pattern is from Sue Overy on YouTube. There is a link to the main pattern on her channel.

My youngest sister told me that his son loved the bag! The moment he received the bag, he kept on wearing it! How cute is that!!

And this pic made my day!! The bag is just perfect for preschoolers!!

What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a nice day ^^

Double Zip Pencil Pouches

Hello,

Last month I made these pencil pouches for gifts. It was Sunday morning and my son said he needs a gift for his friend's birthday in the afternoon. I need to make something that's easy and quick.
When I said I'll make a pencil pouch, he immediately agreed. I've wanted to make this style of pencil pouch, anyway.

I used the Doitrei Pattern for the double zipper pouch one. (The pattern is now on sale in my Etsy Shop)

It's super easy. From the Double zip Pouch pattern, I extended the width from the pattern to 10 1/2 Inch and proceeded as per the pattern instructions.

Double Zip Pencil Pouch

This really makes a great gift for anyone. With multi compartments, they can easily stay organized and also they can keep their canteen coupons and ID Card (which are frequently forgotten ~ sigh)

This is my fave gifting pattern now since I love collecting scraps I can easily use them like the blue stripe I used here is from my previous project.

By changing the fabric print, you can make gifts for men or women, or boys and girls.

Well, everyone always needs pouches. All kinds, styles, and sizes of pouches.

If you need to make last-minute gifts, it's time to grab the pattern.
You can purchase from the Webshop (use coupon CVG20) or in my Etsy Shop (it's on sale through Monday!)

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a nice weekend,
