Women's Slim Wallet and Card Organizer

I like slim wallet that can fit in a lot of things. I made another slim wallet which was popular with young girls.

Some of customers asked me if I can make slim wallet with more card slots. After playing with many designs I came up with this Women's wallet & Card Organizer

This pretty floral wallet can fit it 12 cards and even your phone. This is a perfect wallet to grab & go for a quick errand.

what's more, it has hidden zipper pocket. Which I find quite handy to keep small things.

I also added exterior zipper pocket!

The wallet is finished with machine binding on one side and hand stitch on the other side to give a perfect finish. I really prefer this method, because it made the wallet more sturdy and you don't have to worry if the stitch will give away even if the wallet is over loaded.

The wallet is available here :

Custom order with different print is available upon request.

So, start your christmas shopping early.

pssst...I will have 10% off throughout November. Favorite the shop so you won't miss the announcement!

Thank you for checking out my blog

{ New in the Shop} 241 Batik Sling Bag

I have this orange batik for a long time. It's one of those modern batik depicting Jakarta's landmarks and cultures. I always wanted to make bag with it but could not find a perfect pattern for it, until last week!

Well, Noodlehead pattern is always my favorite and this 241 tote was on my wishlist. I am glad I finally made it.

It's perfect to carry around while you're on the go

2 pockets on the sides is very handy to keep your sunglasses or those brochures you pick up on the road

the slanted exterior zipper pocket is so cute and perfect to keep your bus/train card or small changes or even your hotel card when you travel.

I will definitely take this sling bag on my next trip.

So, when you're planning your next holiday, don't forget to grab one of this bag.

Now this bag is available for custom order in my ETSY shop
{psst.. you like a customized bag. I have more fabric options}

Necessary Clutch Wallet

I have been searching for accordion wallet pattern and my dear friend, Namrata from Bagstock told me about the NCW and she encouraged me to try. She even added me to the NCW addict group on facebook.  After few months of watching all the ladies in the group making beautiful NCWs finally I printed out the pattern and started making one.

The wallet is spacious, you can fit it up to 12 cards, and there is one slip pocket behind each card slot.

I added another zip pocket there and d-rings for the detachable strap. I made 1 long strap and 1 short lanyard.

The middle part is my favorite cos you can put your mobile phone there.

So, no more carrying your big purse when you go out for a little errand or just going for a short lunch break.

Some adjustment that I made :

#1. The Flap

I attached the border to the exterior flap panel by sewing the inner border to the exterior panel first. Then baste stitch the outer border to exterior before sew it together with the lining flap. That way I get a good finish of the flap and since I used magnetic snap, it gave a better finish of the front esp. if you are using magnetic snap. No more worries maneuvering around the snap ;)

#2 . The wallet body lining, I use buckram in the middle part and use fusible woven interfacing in the oval part. That way, it's easier on my machine since it's less bulky. And before turning I add a piece of flannel as batting in the middle part. That give a stiff but soft finish to the wallet. The wallet feels for firm.  (sorry forgot to take pics here).

#3. Added second zipper pouch based on tutorial by Jean on her YouTube channel.

I used my pinking scissor to trip the flap or any curvy sides. It's easier and faster plus gives a better finish

So, if you've been thinking to give the NCW a try, go ahead. It's fun to make and with all the tutorials and group support, you don't have to worry about anything else:)

and the fabrics at Chezvies Supplies

or if you'd rather to buy the finish wallet, you can head to my ETSY shop. I can make in any fabric you want.

Until then,

It's better be late than never

When my bff was having her first baby I told her that I'll make a baby quilt for her. Well, finally I did it...2.5 years later @_@

Here it is :

Pardon the graffiti on the swing..
that was the sons doing when they were on crafty mood.

Actually I planned a different quilt and then decided to change it midway using completely different fabrics. This one sort of grow from 40" x 40" to 48" x 60" which is - I think - its great for 2 years old.

I used this soft minty green fabric at the back. One of the reason why it took so long  was looking for the perfect backing. So, it was after my Shillong visit last April that I got this fabric. See, I truly believed that everything happens at its own time and place ;)

I decided to do straight line quilting using mercerised variegated cotton but it kept breaking. It turned out the thread was old (2009 made) which I didn't check. Lesson learnt.  So, after struggling for few lines I decided to change the thread. Too bad, cos I love the color so much. Well, its not meant to be.

Another thing was I NEED walking foot. I'm not (yet) comfortable with FMQ -ing big quilt and I love straight line quilting after browsing Pinterest. There's just so much you can do with straight line quilting. HERE is one that I love. And to do that I need the right tool. I'll be getting one soon, thanks to my dear friend who will get it for me ...yay!!

It's packed and ready to send by Monday.
Until then

Bag Swap

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another,
'What! You too? I thought I was the only one" ~  C.S Lewis

That's how it was started on twitter few months back.  Andriani Retno of Hayano Handmade tweeted me and then we sort of talking about our common hobby, sewing. Then one day, I tweeted, we must do swapping sometimes. She agreed. And finally, after long overdue, I made this reversible granny bag for her.

I did owl embroidery and put a detachable flower brooch there ;). It's already on it's way to Indonesia and I do hope she likes it :)

Until then....happy sewing
