What is your favorite wallet?

Guwahati, Assam, India
Hi there,

It's already September and the festival season is started here in India. And also exam season for the sons. The elder one will have Trinity piano exam at the last week of this month. I hope can prepare well, since his midterm exam also will start from tomorrow.

The sheep double zip wallet

Sewing wise, I finished 2 wallets this week!  One is the double zip wallet from Noodlehead's book the Handmade Style. It's been on my list for quite a while. It was quick and fun sewing.

I'm quite minimalist when it comes to wallet. I normally carry 2 cards and a few business cards. The double zip wallet has 6 card slots, 1 slip pocket and 2 zipper compartments which can be used to carry your phone!

I really liked the flap with magnetic snap that keep the 2 zipper compartments together. Here I used a gingham black and white fabric to contrast the cute sheep print that I got from my trip to Japan earlier this year.

Slim and Minimalist Wallet

The second wallet is the bifold slim wallet. This is my own design/pattern. I found the hexagon print fabric in my stash and I know I am going to make a wallet with it! I used the lacy zipper too!! I think I need to get more of the lacy zippers, I really love it!!

Hexagon Bifold Wallet

This bifold wallet can also hold 6 cards, has 1 zipper pocket and 2 slip pockets. It closes with flap and snap button. I made a pointed flap this time to match the hexagon print.

I finished the wallet with hand sewn binding as always. I decided to stripe bias binding and I love how this wallet turned out!

What is your fave wallet to carry?

Thank you for stopping by!

Coming Soon ~ Card Wallet Organizer Pattern

I'm so excited to announce that my second PdF Pattern is coming  real soon. Right now it's being tested by my fabulous Facebook Friends (I love facebook for that!!)

The tester photos have been coming out really fabulous!! I love how everyone is using different kind of fabrics and each one is so fantastically pretty. (sneak peek photos soon!!)

I have made few wallets from this upcoming pattern few months ago (here and here)

Pattern making is a learning process for me. Even if I wrote several tutorials before, but selling pattern is totally different. There is a certain degree of  responsibility that I feel. Maybe it's just me, but I want those who buy my pattern will feel "yes, it's worth it".  From my First Pattern I learned  how to convey what's in my head  with less confusing sewing terms or less confusing photo angles. I tried my best to use a simple English that can be understood by non English speaker.

This time around, I learned to make graphics (instead of photos) to use in the instructions and also added alternative designs (yay!!)

I've been trying out the pattern using different kind of interfacings too, I will elaborate more in my next blog post.

I'm so excited about this pattern! I'm sure you will love it.

Women's Slim Wallet and Card Organizer

I like slim wallet that can fit in a lot of things. I made another slim wallet which was popular with young girls.

Some of customers asked me if I can make slim wallet with more card slots. After playing with many designs I came up with this Women's wallet & Card Organizer

This pretty floral wallet can fit it 12 cards and even your phone. This is a perfect wallet to grab & go for a quick errand.

what's more, it has hidden zipper pocket. Which I find quite handy to keep small things.

I also added exterior zipper pocket!

The wallet is finished with machine binding on one side and hand stitch on the other side to give a perfect finish. I really prefer this method, because it made the wallet more sturdy and you don't have to worry if the stitch will give away even if the wallet is over loaded.

The wallet is available here :

Custom order with different print is available upon request.

So, start your christmas shopping early.

pssst...I will have 10% off throughout November. Favorite the shop so you won't miss the announcement!
