Zip Around Family Passport Wallet

Family Passport Holder | Pdf Pattern

Hello,

I hope everyone is well and getting ready to enjoy summer. The weather is getting more humid in this part of India too but looks like summer will not be much different than last year. We're still in lockdown until next week and most probably it will be extended for a couple more weeks.

A few weeks ago I finished a couple of family passport holders with a zipper around closure. They were custom orders from my Etsy Shop. How I wish we could start traveling again.

Large Passport Wallet for 6

I particularly love this leopard print wallet and I'm glad the customer loved it too.

Love my custom passport wallet! It turned out perfect and made so well! Fast shipping and great communication!

As usual, I always make an extra wallet when I'm working on an order, that way I can add more ready-to-ship items to the shop. This trick works for me so far. For the second one, I did a recording for a video tutorial on my Youtube Channel. It's been long due. I plan to edit and upload it by next week.

This time, I did the zipper using a single tape zipper (which currently my fave) like I did for this small wallet in my previous post. Check the video below on how to sew single zipper tape on a wallet.

On a personal front, I got my first shot of Covishield vaccine last Sunday and was feeling rather unwell for a couple of days. I felt feverish at night the day I took the jab and the next day, after that, I felt better after a couple doses of paracetamol. I hope you have taken yours too! I pray that more and more people can get vaccinated here in India. At this point in time, I'll just go with the flow. Take a day at a time. I was talking to my friend the other day about, how at the end of 2019 we were so full of plans and suddenly 2020 happened.

Well, let's do what we can for now. Until next time, take care and stay safe!

Video Tutorial - How to Sew Zip Around Fabric Wallet

Watch on Youtube

Finally, I finished editing the video tutorial for Nuno Small Bifold Wallet and upload it on Youtube. Pheew, that's one big list I can tick off my list this week. I hope it helps you to visualize when you decide to make the wallet.

I made the zip-around version of the wallet in the video and I also included how to add 2 in 1 exterior zipper pocket

Download the Pattern

This Nuno wallet is pretty quick to sew. It takes longer to choose the fabric combo than actually sewing it:). This time, I learn to add a timestamp to the video description, so that you can just click the link and go to the part that you want to know more in detail.

The zipper closure is only using single zipper tape. You can use this zipper closure technique for any wallet. This is my fave zipper closure method now. Do let me know if you want a picture tutorial for this method.

I also made this Wonderland Nuno Wallet with Exterior Zipper for a customer on Etsy. She wanted 2 card slot sets inside and a zipper pocket on the outside.  When I showed her the 2 in 1 pocket, she readily agreed.

Nuno Small Bifold Wallet features: (use coupon CVG20 to get 20% off )
- Spacious Bill Compartment
- 4 Slots for Cards
- Snap Coin Pocket
- 2 optional closure using snap button or zipper
- Additional Tutorial for 2 in 1 Exterior Zipper Pocket
- Easy construction method.

Now let's check out the video and please let me know what you think.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don't forget to share if you find this post is useful.

Take care & happy sewing!

Updates: News from CHEZVIES

Hello,

I made a few changes regarding receiving updates via e-mail. As I mentioned in my previous post that Feedburner is going away, so I've been looking for alternatives. After researching, I decided to go with Godaddy as I have my domain registered with them too, so it's easier to have everything in one place. Also, the pricing they offered is within my budget.

For those who already subscribed to my blog updates, from today onwards you will receive updates from the new platform. Also, those to agreed to receive updates when checked out from my Webshop will also receive the same updates. (Read about our T & C)

I don't usually send separate newsletters (I tried, but being a solo mompreneur I don't have much time to write separate newsletters).

On the blog, I share tips, sewing techniques, free tutorials, pattern updates & hacks, and offers from my webshop as well as my Etsy Shops. You can easily unsubscribe if you no longer want to receive updates.

I truly appreciate your supports throughout the years and I am looking forward to your continued supports.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Take care & have a nice day!

Eid Mubarak!

Source: Twitter

After a month of Ramadan today, we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in India. And again we celebrate Eid in lockdown like last year. I terribly missed my family back in Indonesia. Thanks to the internet we can at least do video chat. On Eid, or a few days before Eid, we'd like to share what we plan to cook and other preparations we're doing.

This Eid, I made Indonesian Opor Ayam (Indonesian coconut chicken curry) using a recipe from this youtube channel. The curry turned out yummy and light!  Both my sons confirmed it and said it reminds them of Eid in Indonesia.

I made mandatory jam cookies and cashew cookies. The boys loved the cookies so much that I have to make another batch a day before Eid.  My MIL made the Indian curries and seviyan which is very yummy, and the hubby made Biryani.  We have it quite simple this year. Hopefully next year, we could have friends and relatives coming for Eid again.

This is before we took family photos. My boys just don't like their photos taken, esp. my younger son!

Well, even though in lockdown, we quite enjoyed the day. I hope you all have a lovely Eid day too!
