How to make trifold wallet video tutorial

Classic Trifold Wallet Pattern

Hello,

I hope you're all doing well! I've been pretty busy in the past few weeks, especially with the holy month of Ramadan going on. But I am happy to finally put up a video tutorial for the Classic Trifold Wallet. Actually, I've been working on it for a couple of weeks. Whiles sewing and taking videos don't take much time, editing really needs a good mood and of course a lot of screen time.

I made the pattern when I just started out, and after getting a lot of feedback, I decided it was time to revise the pattern. While there are no drastic changes in the pattern, this time, it is written in a better way and also uses real photos and also diagrams to help understand the process better. And also I hope with the video, people can have a better understanding.

The changes I made with the pattern are only on the construction of the interior zipper pocket and also added better templates for the card slot construction.  You can watch it in the video below:

Wallet features:

- Sturdy construction that makes the wallet last longer
- 12 and 16 cards variant
- Spacious to carry cards, a smartphone, a passport, etc
- Binding to hold the wallet together and also give a unique handmade look.
- Various supporting video tutorials

The lavender wallet below I made using printed linen and combined it with shot cotton fabric. It turned out very crisp and chic!

For the materials needed to make this wallet, you need:

Mini Trifold Wallet Video Tutorial

India

Wallet Video Tutorial
Midori Wallet Video Tutorial

Finally, the video tutorial for the Midori Wallet is up on YouTube and  I am happy to cross one list from my to-do list!  A few days ago I was cutting a Wonderland fabric to make a small bifold wallet for order and I had a small piece left, which is just perfect for the flap part of this trifold wallet. So I went ahead and cut another set. It's still on my RTS (ready to sew) box. I hope I can finish it by next week.

Midori wallet is pretty easy and quick to sew. Also, it doesn't need a lot of materials. The wallet can hold 6 cards and more. I personally carry about 4 cards and nowadays in India mobile payment via Google Pay is very common. You can even purchase candies and Gpay it. And during the lockdown, we always bought most of the things online and now I sometimes forget to carry cash when I go out.

Video Tutorial - How to Sew Zip Around Fabric Wallet

Watch on Youtube

Finally, I finished editing the video tutorial for Nuno Small Bifold Wallet and upload it on Youtube. Pheew, that's one big list I can tick off my list this week. I hope it helps you to visualize when you decide to make the wallet.

I made the zip-around version of the wallet in the video and I also included how to add 2 in 1 exterior zipper pocket

Download the Pattern

This Nuno wallet is pretty quick to sew. It takes longer to choose the fabric combo than actually sewing it:). This time, I learn to add a timestamp to the video description, so that you can just click the link and go to the part that you want to know more in detail.

The zipper closure is only using single zipper tape. You can use this zipper closure technique for any wallet. This is my fave zipper closure method now. Do let me know if you want a picture tutorial for this method.

I also made this Wonderland Nuno Wallet with Exterior Zipper for a customer on Etsy. She wanted 2 card slot sets inside and a zipper pocket on the outside.  When I showed her the 2 in 1 pocket, she readily agreed.

Nuno Small Bifold Wallet features: (use coupon CVG20 to get 20% off )
- Spacious Bill Compartment
- 4 Slots for Cards
- Snap Coin Pocket
- 2 optional closure using snap button or zipper
- Additional Tutorial for 2 in 1 Exterior Zipper Pocket
- Easy construction method.

Now let's check out the video and please let me know what you think.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don't forget to share if you find this post is useful.

Take care & happy sewing!

Cute Trifold Wallet - Lockdown Project

Finally this trifold wallet is done! It's a custom order which was finalized at the beginning of lockdown in March. She's a fan of Disney and wanted this specific fabric after she saw the family passport holder with the same print. Luckily I have just wide enough to make the wallet's exterior and a little bit for the wallet's interior.

Another addition she wanted was the ID window. For that, I used the 16 cards template from the pattern and added ID window on the top card slot.
I personally love how this turned out and I hope she will too :). I just need to add personalization with her name. I'll update you on how I do it.

Before I made the big trifold wallet, we were discussing color combo option. And just to  see how it works, I made the Midori Mini Wallet - a little version of the big one.  But here I used stripe handloom fabric for binding, which I must say, turned out very cute.

By the way, I reopen my Handmade shop in Etsy and also my Webshop. The government has announced that domestic flight will resume on the 17th, which at least I hope I can start selling again.
I know that this pandemic will not go away soon, but we have to cooperate with the government orders and keep maintain physical distancing, wear a mask and wash your hands. Maintain hygienic lifestyle.

Thank you for stopping by.
Take care and stay safe, everyone!
