Hanami Pochette

 Hello,

Recently I introduced the new wristlet pattern, Hanami Pochette. I've been working on the pattern since early November or so and plan to release it in December. But life happens! I had tooth problems and had to visit the dentist a couple of times, then my son's pre-board exam started and at the same time, we were busy with his college applications. So my mind was all over the place.

Now about the Hanami Pochette. It is a versatile minimalist wristlet wallet that is perfect for carrying essential items. The largest size can fit the largest iPhone Pro Max and also can be used to carry passports when traveling. The medium size can fit in the basic iPhone model.

Floral & Stripe Hanami Pochette

The small size is my personal favorite because I like to carry small bags and it fits perfectly in my purse. The wrist strap can be easily used as a key fob. Here are the latest ones I made.

New Rosie Wallet Sewing Pattern with Video Tutorial

Rosie Wallet Pattern

Hello,

Hello there! It's been a while since I posted here. I hope you're all doing well and healthy!

I recently returned from my holiday to Indonesia and have been keeping busy working on my latest creation - the Rosie Wallet! This wallet is not only stylish, but it's also functional and can hold more than 10 cards, folded notes, and coins. It's a great pattern for both beginners and experienced sewists and makes for the perfect gift during festive seasons and birthdays.

Handmade Wallet

Before my trip to Indonesia last month, I made several gifts (although I didn't get a chance to take pictures of all of them). My friends and sisters instantly loved the gift because it was easy to slip into their small bags or jeans without being bulky.

Rosie Wallet is pretty easy to make and with 2 in 1 zipper pocket, you can easily have 2 zipper pockets by installing 1 zipper! I think it's my current fave of pocket. Because we always need space to keep odds and ends in our wallets, such as my hijab pins, a ring, etc.

The Rosie Wallet features:

- Slim and compact design
- 2 slip pockets for cash and extra cards
- 4 cardholders - can fit in 3 cards in each slot!
- Hidden Kam snap button closure
- Dual Compartment Exterior Zipper Pocket

It does not take much material to make this wallet. You can practically make the wallet using the scraps! That is how I first came up with the idea!

As for the binding, in this pattern, I included step-by-step photos to finish the binding by machine and also you can watch the VIDEO TUTORIAL for more details.

The pattern is now 25% off on both ETSY and WEBSITE until the end of the month!

I hope you enjoy making the wallet. If you have any questions, leave a comment or two, I'd be glad to help you.

Please use hashtag #chezvies or #chezviespatterns when sharing your handmade wallet so that others can see your beautiful works too.

Happy Sewing!

Video Tutorial - How to Sew Zip Around Fabric Wallet

Watch on Youtube

Finally, I finished editing the video tutorial for Nuno Small Bifold Wallet and upload it on Youtube. Pheew, that's one big list I can tick off my list this week. I hope it helps you to visualize when you decide to make the wallet.

I made the zip-around version of the wallet in the video and I also included how to add 2 in 1 exterior zipper pocket

Download the Pattern

This Nuno wallet is pretty quick to sew. It takes longer to choose the fabric combo than actually sewing it:). This time, I learn to add a timestamp to the video description, so that you can just click the link and go to the part that you want to know more in detail.

The zipper closure is only using single zipper tape. You can use this zipper closure technique for any wallet. This is my fave zipper closure method now. Do let me know if you want a picture tutorial for this method.

I also made this Wonderland Nuno Wallet with Exterior Zipper for a customer on Etsy. She wanted 2 card slot sets inside and a zipper pocket on the outside.  When I showed her the 2 in 1 pocket, she readily agreed.

Nuno Small Bifold Wallet features: (use coupon CVG20 to get 20% off )
- Spacious Bill Compartment
- 4 Slots for Cards
- Snap Coin Pocket
- 2 optional closure using snap button or zipper
- Additional Tutorial for 2 in 1 Exterior Zipper Pocket
- Easy construction method.

Now let's check out the video and please let me know what you think.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don't forget to share if you find this post is useful.

Take care & happy sewing!

Midori Super Cute Mini Wallet Pattern

Finally this midori mini wallet pattern that's been on my draft folder for almost 2 years now available in my Etsy Shop and on special 40% lockdown discount!

Title of the document Get the Pattern on Etsy

It's the mini version of the older sister - the Trifold Card Wallet Organizer. Come to think of it, I think I should give proper name to my patterns ^^. If you're wondering, Midori means Green in Japanese and the name is for obvious reason because I was working with the green apple print (ha!).

Anyway, Midori has this mini zippy pocket on the exterior, which is very handy! You will learn how to make invisible zipper pocket the easy way using all purpose zipper!

This mini wallet also has 6 card slot and 2 mini slip pockets. It's perfect for those days when you just want to go out for midnight snack in the neighboring convenience store! It fits perfectly into your jeans pocket, it's only 4.5" W x 4" H afterall.

Since it's pretty small, it's great for scrap buster project. You know for all those small cuts you keep waiting for a perfect project to come along :). Yup, this is a perfect one! And why learning something during this lockdown and drive away your blues!

Thank you so much for keep coming to check out my blog. Oh, I had a little glitch at the Webshop yesterday and today, but it's resolved now so you can safely make payment via Paypal again. Well, it was  a little bit upsetting but hopefully all will end well! I trust God will never take away something from you without giving you back something more beautiful:)

Take care, stay home, stay creative and stay well!!

New PdF Pattern - Bifold Wallet Pattern & Pattern Sale

Finally I finished writing the Bifold Wallet pattern. I've been making a lot of this wallet in the past few years and it's one of my fave mood booster sewing project because it's super easy and always turned out good.

The pattern has evolved a lot since then. I did a lot of trial and error in terms of measurements and materials that are needed to make this wallet.

The wallet has 6 card slots, 1 zipper pocket and 2 slip pockets. It can hold smart phone and passport too so that it makes a great travel wallet too.

I love minimalist wallet that is light, soft yet sturdy. I always used my own wallet to test its durability and effectiveness.

If you're looking for pattern to make fabric wallet that is stylish, durable and minimalistic this might be the right pattern for you. I included 5 flap designs and of course you can use ready made leather flap. There are links for video tutorial too and if you still have any concerns, you can always email me :)
