A few WIP hand quilted projects

India

Quilt in Progress

Hello,

Time flies when you have fun. For the past 2 weeks, I have been busy with a few quilt projects and wallet making for my Etsy Shop. And I also working on my Kawandi QAL which sadly I have not been able to work on it so much. I really enjoy doing this hand quilting and want to start quilting on bigger quilts when I have enough confidence. Right now I have a few smaller projects going on, I'll do it one at a time as time permits. Now both my sons are going to have board exam for grade 10 and 12 and that really make me nervous, though they seem to relax, this hand quilting projects help me to calm down a bit. My DH keeps telling me not to get anxious and he keeps sending me to my sewing room hahaha.

On the (small) business side, yesterday I finally got the dust bags for my wallets from Canvas2Craft. I ordered the bags a couple of weeks ago and Poonam is very helpful and lovely to work with. She updates me about the progress and makes sure everything was per my requirements.

I always wanted to make dust bags as an added bonus for my customers, so that they can reuse the bag. Instead of wrapping them in paper, this reusable bag will be more useful and eco-friendly too. So here is the first order that goes in the bag. Yes, the small quilt above. I think I will order another size.

Another happiness last week comes from Saira my secret swap partner in Desi Quilters Love and Healing Swap. When she posted her pouch in the group, I secretly wish for it et voila! My wish come true. The bag is so spacious and I use it to keep my hand quilting projects. She also sent me the pin and magnetic pins. If you're a hijabi, like me, you know these magnetic pins are a game-changer. Thank you so much, Saira!

I also completed a few wallet orders from my Etsy Shop. These two wallets are popular. I only have enough fabric to make a few more wallets. And now that many states are going to restart offline school, I made a couple of triple and double zipper pouches too. They are very versatile as you can keep extra face masks for them. I guess, we all have to accept the fact that wearing a face mask is necessary even when the pandemic is over. At least, that will be our first guard against any virus, IMHO.

New Pattern - Doitrei Zipper Pouch Sewing Pattern

Hello again,

Introducing  DOITREI zipper pouch!!

Doitrei Zipper Pouch
As promised in my earlier post that I will be releasing the pattern for the triple and double zipper pouch. This time I decided to give it a name and I'm not very good with naming things. I even asked my younger one, what should I name this pouch, and he said banyan tree! Boys 0_0

What is Doitrei? It's from Romanian Language which mean two three. Ha!!
This is a really great project to make with those scraps you keep for 'someday I use it' .

Like this strawberry double zipper pouch. The fabrics are from this patchwork pillow and when I made them into this cute patchwork little pouch , I just loved it!!

This will surely make a great gift for anyone in your family.

As suggested by my dear friend, Maria, I included pattern templates too.The pattern is now on 20% off both in my ETSY SHOP and WEBSHOP.

Don't forget to use hashtag #chezviespatterns when you're posting in Instagram or facebook, so that I can find you!

Thank you so much for your support!

Happy Sewing!

Fun Multi Zipper Pouches

India
Hello,

I've been having lots of fun making multi zippered pouches in the past few weeks. It was started with these pouches. It is so fun to make and I can use up my scraps too!

Disney Pouches

Today I finished the above Disney pouches while waiting for the sons to come back from School. The weather was quite nice today, the humidity has drop significantly, so it was a good day to sew.

The triple zipper bag is so spacious. You can use it for anything. We never have enough of pouches, right?. Even when I can make pouches, I still buy them whenever I see a cute one!

Linen Double Zip Bag

They really make a great gift and it's always useful for everyone. I always carry pouches too when I travel to keep my bag organize. To keep the headphone, cable charger,  emergency medicines, sweets, etc.

The pattern will be out soon, Insha Allah, before the end of the month. I'm currently fine tuning everything.

Linen Zipper Pouch

In the meantime, I added some of them in my Etsy Shop. Some of them are really one of a kind which I made from linen scraps! So much fun!!

Shabby Chic Pouch

By the way, all my handmade products in my Etsy Shops are now free worldwide shipping. That include my small quilt shop that I recently started. Do check them out when you're free.

Back to school with handmade pouch

Hello,

I'm back from the summer break in Indonesia. I apologize I could not visit and reply all the comments from my last post since I had to rush. I thought of replying and reading all the post during the holiday, but it just didn't happen.

Now I'm back in the sultry weather of Indian summer. The past few days I was busy with tidying up my home after I read about Konmari method (go and google it :D ). You may have heard, read or saw her post all over social media. I get the drift from what I read on the blog and saw on Youtube so I decided to buy her book. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, so I will tell you about it (hopefully) in my next post!

Multi Zipper Pouch

In the middle of the chaos I created, I managed to finished 4 multi zipper pouches, which 2 of them are orders. The opportunity came at the right time, just when I was thinking to sew a few pouches for stock. I was looking and considering a few options. When she DM me on Instagram, she wanted a pouch with multiple compartments and this style is just perfect.

Snoopy Denim Pouch

I always love to work with new prints. I especially love the snoopy fabrics. I recently got quite a few snoopy prints from my trip to Indonesia just because they are just too cute to pass! Like this snoopy back to school print. Isn't it too cute?

Snoopy Back to School

I really love this colorful hearts print. This was the first multi zip pouch that I made. The pouch dimension is 8" W x 6.5" H which is so spacious! You can fit in lots of things in there.

Pink Hearts Zip Pouch

You can even use it as make up pouch or even a passport bag! It simply versatile pouch.

What about you? What did you sew this week?

Thank you for stopping by,

Until then,
Happy Sewing
